Mostly Harmless by Douglas Adams is the fifth book in the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series, and also possibly the weakest. Much darker than the previous four books, Mostly Harmless contains some of the cruelest jokes in the series and ends on a very depressing and slightly unsatisfying (though still hilarious) note. The humor remains consistently funny however, and if you’ve read the previous books in the series this one is still very worth checking out.
