The St. Mary’s College of Maryland Archives maintains a growing collection of digitized materials documenting the history of the college and its community. The publications below are freely available online and cover student life, institutional history, alumni records, and more. Physical copies of many of these materials are also held in the College Archives in Calvert Hall, Room B02.
St. Mary’s Student Newspapers
The student newspapers in this online collection date from 1952 through spring 2002. The College Archives holds physical copies of these newspapers as well as those from 1940–1949 and fall 2002 to the present day.
St. Mary’s Yearbooks
The St. Mary’s Archives has digitized the 1925 Pepper Pot and school yearbooks from 1948 through 1999, with the assistance of the Internet Archive. Each yearbook may be downloaded and is searchable.
Monument School of the People
The college’s official history, Monument school of the people: a sesquicentennial history of St. Mary’s College of Maryland, 1840–1990, was written by J. Frederick Fausz and published in 1990.
List of St. Mary’s Alumni, Pre-1940
This document contains a list of all known pre-1940 alumni. In part due to the Calvert Hall fire of 1924, this list has been pieced together from a variety of sources.

Mulberry Tree Archives
The Mulberry Tree Papers, published by St. Mary’s College of Maryland since 1972, is a general-interest magazine intended for the entire St. Mary’s community: alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents, friends, and others. Continues through 2001.
